Future Future Classroom.png

My classroom contains four important future technological appliances. The first is a “Huge Ipad”. This product replaced smart boards and TV’s in the classroom. You can download all the aps and upload all the videos needed right on the Ipad. The ipad would lower to the ground so that the students would be able to interact with it and then would return parallel to the ceiling so that it is not damaged and does not hurt anyone. There is also a robotic camera. The camera helps the students with their projects. All the students can then put their projects together and have a consecutive story using the camera. Also, all students can be present in a group, instead of one of the students filming. The math mat is a touch screen mat that interacts with the students through math. The students can draw shapes and angles on the mat with their hands or their feet. They can also solve math problems and draw out word problems using the mat. The mat is like a great big dry erase board with a USB port so that the teacher can download problems onto the mat and the students can solve them. The last future technological appliance is called a reverse app. The reverse app is like the app we were showed in class, but reversed. Instead of the 3-D image showing up on the screen of the device, it shows up in the classroom. This app not only has space craft. It has everything from the Eiffel Tower to gorillas to a school bus to a shoe. All you have to do is turn on the part of the device that is connected to the ceiling and a laser beam points towards a magnetic spot on the wall. You then pick which object you want to show the class and connect the magnetic paper with barcode on it to the magnet on the wall and the object appears in 3-D in the middle of your classroom.

Technology Standards
#1 The Ipad can be used to run, generate, and manipulate data. The children will be able to create graphs and pie charts using an app.
#2 The teacher will be able to use the Ipad to research and try out new apps and other resources to not only better his or her knowledge, but to try it and she how it can benefit their classroom. The teacher can also use the Reverse Mat to learn more about the structure and appearance of objects.
#3 The Ipad, Math Mat, and Reverse Mat will be used learning tools. They will help everyone to learn, not just groups of students.
#5 The Ipad has a timer on it to help keep the students and the teacher on time. The Ipad can also be used to communicate with people all around the world.
#6The teacher will communicate in class with people all around the world and with people in their own home town. The class may not be able to take a field trip to the local dairy farm, but they can Skype the owners of the dairy farm and can see the farm that way.
#9 The teacher will be able to Skype with fellow teachers all over the world to get their perspective of how a lesson was taught or to get ideas on how to better teach a lesson or add activities that they hadn't thought of to a lesson.
